That'd be nice but it's not genuine awareness. It's more like an attempt to distance themselves from their own actions/stances due to the sheer preponderance of evidence. These types of people would repeat their past behavior in a heartbeat if they don't learn the bigger lesson here.
Just got the word from 2 fully vaxxed friends this morning that they have "breakthrough" infections. One of their doctors even admitted to them that 62% of positive cases were of the fully vaxxed right now (not sure what data set this is exactly, but sounds about right). 3 more new members of Team Reality!
When they pivot back to blaming Trump for the rushed vaccine, don't let them forget that he was enthusiastic about early treatments like HCQ, which could have saved 90% of the fatalities
