I’m glad someone continues to pursue this. I read Nick Wade’s article in The Bulletin about 6 months into the pandemic. He had his hands around the general outline of the catastrophe that early on. Hubris is the downfall of man, and irresponsible twiddling of virus material is the one thing most likely to end humanity. Not an asteroid. Not a nuclear war. Not climate change. During the pandemic I often thought what if this highly contagious airborne virus had a different impact, maybe something like AIDs. No symptoms for a couple months and then a slow wasting eventually followed by certain death. Civilization, and possibly the human race ended by a small handful of arrogant virologists and bureaucrats.
What was wrong with the Full Bucket of Idiots (FBI)? Did they think that if Daszak was released, he would lead them to der Fauscista? Daszak should have been arrested by CBP and handed over to the FBI, where that scum could have been prosecuted for his criminal activity. He deserves a fate worse than death.
It is very possible that the person sending the message and the person receiving the message have had a secret handshake or seen each other cover one eye in the media or any one of a number of tells that verify the orders are coming from higher than the presidents office and they must be actioned even if there is no official or legal standing.
The oversight we the people manage and see is window dressing to keep competing chancers out of the corruption ecosystem, The real perpetrators ignore the regular chain of command and work on the principal that if you perform your task 100% they will pervert laws and more to protect you in reward for your loyalty. Also they have the dirt on your transgressions at Diddy's Room or Epstein Island so you do it even if you know you will get send down for it. You might get pardoned or the docket gets lost when #WT7 comes crashing down.

FBI is not in charge of the CBP. They should have ignored them (F’ off). Only DHS or the President should have authority to call it off.
