I can’t help but wonder how this might impact the platforms that continue to shadow ban the “Covid contrarians” like myself who write about the harms of the Covid shots (embalmer clots). Substack and X to just name two.

Great question, Laura. The consent decree binds federal actors — so platforms aren't directly covered. But it makes government-orchestrated pressure campaigns legally risky going forward. The broader platform fight continues, but this removes one of the key levers they were using. Also - it allows OTHER lawsuits to move forward.

Finally a victory for those who risked everything to protect free speech most significantly the ability to protect a portion of medical freedom which seemed to have been hijacked by the elites yes that specifically refers to the despotic criminals from The Biden Cartel

As a Canadian, I don't know how I got on your list. I recently was told I had a bill of $10 US per month from you. I no longer want to receive your emails or be charged. I don't know how to get off, so I do this publicly.

Hi Laura — checking my records and you're showing as a free subscriber at $0/month. You're not being charged by me. You may be thinking of a different Substack subscription. You can manage all your subscriptions at substack.com/account or email support@substack.com. Happy to help sort it out!

I don't know what's going on. It came under your name and I've tried to contact you privately, but can't. I did keep the email from you - supposedly from you. Thank you.

The network that involved in the Industrial Censorship Complex is a lot wider than just the parties in this case.

A Consent Decree with an expiration date no less, is a slap in the face for what was a flagrant abuse and breach of the Constitution.

The persons and principle actors involved in this network which was an international enterprise need to go to prison. Anyone who thinks is a victory is being taken for a ride in a clown car.

Justin Hart's avatar

Suzie, not wrong. A decree with an expiration date is a milestone, not a finish line. The accountability piece — consequences for the actual architects — is still unfinished business.

Suzie's avatar

A milestone marking what, exactly?

What was done by these people was one of the most flagrantly unconstitutional and criminal acts imaginable in this country. People should have been punished severely in order to say “this will not be tolerated here under any circumstances - ever”.

Even if these weren’t the key architects the message would have been delivered loud and clear.

Not one person has been criminally tried or jailed in this country for the incomprehensible levels of lawlessness they perpetrated against American citizens and the Constitution. Add this bunch to that list.

The people who tried to make "settled science" a thing have now... settled. It's rich! (And thank you, out on the rationality front lines.)

You still trust government?

What are the remedies when the government breaks the agreement and you all know they will. Is there a massive fine? Do we get to fire every bureaucrat and force the goverment to go back to the goal of the founders were the Federal government is limited to what it can do. Or do we get after 6 years os useless lawsuits another mealy mouth agreement promising never to do it again.

Justin Hart's avatar

The mechanism is contempt of court — violators can be sanctioned, fined, or held personally liable. It’s not perfect, but it means someone has to be watching and willing to litigate. That’s exactly why organizations like the ones that brought this case still matter.

reality speaks's avatar

again zero real consequences. Given how we see that the left has corrupted the justice system they will just run to one of their bought and paid for Judges and get a ruling of no standing and dismisses the case.

Praise the Lord and God bless those who stood against this arrogant censorship! ❤️🙏🏻

So, please explain to me why, what they did , admitted to, and exempted themselves from, is not like yelling fire in a theater. Thank you

I wonder if the consent decree can be extended after 10 years? Like the RATs did with this:

After 35 years, the consent decree that prohibited the Republican National Committee (RNC) from engaging in ballot security activities was terminated by a federal judge.

It also seems like anyone not bound by this consent decree could create shenanigans...

Justin Hart's avatar

Sharp parallel. The RNC decree lasted 35 years before a judge terminated it. These things tend to outlive their original intent — in both directions. Worth watching closely.

This is fine but states, county & city government were the ones that really did most of this and continue today doing it today not just over Covid but lots of stuff.

Justin Hart's avatar

100% right. Missouri v. Biden was specifically about federal coordination — the state and local infrastructure is a separate fight entirely. And in some ways harder, because it’s more diffuse.

Jason Stephenson's avatar

I always tell people that 99.99% of the negative effect on their lives are from state, county & city governments. The majority of people only have to deal with the feds once per year(tax season). The rest of the time the red tap and infringements come from those that are you neighbors.

COVID was created in a U.S. Bio-weapons Lab in North Carolina. Censorship of even minimal helpful advice of how to support one's immune system was removed off of FB early on in the Trump Administration. Both Parties are guilty of censorship, although the Dems definitely stand put as a major organized culprit in regards to COVID Vaccines and the shutting down of the Government and attempting to mandate everyone being vaccinated. IMHO Both Parties at the top are Corrupt Corporate and AIPAC owned and MIC owned supporters of the U.S. War and Destruction Imperialist "machine" non stoop and Both Parties have chewed to the Heritage Foundation Project Plans since the early 1980s, to Privatize all Government funded programs which support Public Schools, Hospitals, and any other assistance to offset the greed of Corporate Capitalism. The goal was to also offshore as much manufacturing as possible to poorer Nations, to pay less and increase profits. I could go on, but won't. I am glad about the ruling against censorship. However this does not necessarily bring us much of the Truth no matter which Party is in Power, especially in regards to WAR, U.S. Intel actions, U.S. Wars or the Pharmaceutical Industry for starters.

Of course the Trump DOJ agreed with this as Trump and his MAGA Land were the source of most of the lies being perpetuated on social media. At the time, I thought it was a good thing to stop harmful, even dangerous, misinformation. Now I can agree reluctantly that the government just has to let people spout whatever lies they want to spout regardless of how stupid or harmful it is. There can be some truth mixed in with the dross, and putting everything out there gives it some sunshine that might allow the stupid to be exposed but also the truth to be exposed.
