It’s been an amazing and wild book launch. We have some great shows coming up after the election with incredible hosts like Megyn Kelly and I just booked with Mike Rowe! (One of my personal heroes.)
The #1 question I get in these interviews: “Why did they do it?” Why did they impose these draconian restrictions - seemingly out of the blue? Why this virus? Why this moment?
They paid lip service to their “scientific” reasoning behind each intervention - in each case they were wrong. At least we have that on record - and the results.

What we don’t know is… who and why? Who made the decision about these interventions and WHY did they do it?

It was something they could use to get rid of Trump. It was not planned as the escape from the lab in China was an accident. But the narrative was built how deadly this was and see what China is doing to contain it. Trump played into their hands and they ran with it. A reason for the country to move beyond Trump in 2024.
The whole directive was a global affaire, so clearly above any single country explanation.
With private multinational corporations being larger than countries it seems titans of industry are swinging that weight to create global policies they can benefit from.
One aspect of this that I have seen play out in my country is the switch from corporations focused on competing for consumers to a business model driven by seeking monopolistic state contracts.
Today Tech and Pharma and New Energy have joined military industrial complex in securing multi-billion, multi-year sales from ever growing Government spending initiatives and public-private partnerships.
Today technology allows centralized data collection at an unprecedented and I would not be surprised that offering to sell politicians this command and control button is a tempting proposition for both sides.
A Tops - down planned society seems what we are gravitating to. The end of the world virus shock and awe story and centralized response sets the stage. Seems a power (financial and political) grab.
Is it a conspiracy theory? Is that too much to acknowledge for good natured people?
It’s not, however, when you see the same names popping up to influence directly or indirectly decisions heading in this direction.
It’s not, however, when you replace conspiracy theory with the word convergence of interests. Industry sells to the state products to control populations and secure power and states buy from industry which amasses greater wealth. It’s corporative facsism but under the guise of democracy. It’s not new.
It’s not, however, when you understand that conspiracy is just another word for organizing and planning. Any historian would describe many, most or all power grabs as being the fruit of organized groups (kings, dictators, oligarchs, intellectuals, etc). Why would large scale achievements be a result of random luck?
Somehow many do not allow themselves to believe that what has always been the normal in history is too evil or too complex to be happening to us in the present.
It is truly large scale command and control ambition we are seeing playing out. Having a one size fits all policy across borders , destroying small independent business, relying on censorship, deploying an army of doctors, police, beaurocrats whose jobs are at stake to herd the sheep is exactly what we have seen so why believe it is all a coincidence or just politicians taking bad decisions?
Doing this in one country would be seen as a coup. Very evident. But if the whole world is doing it and abstract organizations (WHO, UN, IMF, EURO parlament) are leading it instead of a si gel IFE tía le goone (Hitler, Stalin, Castro, Mao), unfortunately most people are made to believe that a coup is not possible at that scale. Wake up, please.
