You may have seen yesterday how the White House Press Secretary declared that it was Republicans who kept schools closed and that only President Biden’s herculean efforts in re-opening the country succeeded in getting them back in the classroom!
This is a lie.
It’s understandable why they would want to distance themselves from these terrible decisions which impacted our kids. As New York Governor Hochul exclaimed (without a hint of irony): “Wow, wow, that was a mistake.” The New York Times reported yesterday, math scores among 9th graders plummeted. Their headline which blames “the pandemic” is the latest deflection technique - the virus made us do it!
We can’t let this gaslighting go on.
