"Either Tribe did not read the decision, or his ideology blinded him from reality."

Eh... you left out an option there.

He read it and simply lied about what it says because he knows that 99.99% of the public will not read it.

The series of events which led to the creation of the US constitution was very rare historically. A once in a millenium group of individuals got together and tried to put something together that was as resilient as possible against the ugly sides of human nature. Well human nature has not changed. It doesn't matter how many educational degrees you have. The VAST majority of explanations for why people behave the way they do are rationalizations, no matter how erudite they sound, or how much jargon they use, The core motivators are vested interests, which most people are blind to, particularly in themselves. The lawyer you mention has the perfect name Tribe because that is what he epitomizes. He has picked his "tribe" and he will agree with them no matter what the issue, and then rationalize an explanation. If suddenly Trump or some other populist were elected and promoted all the same censorship actions that are being done now, but directed at Tribe's "tribe", then Tribe would turn on a dime and begin vehemently defending the first amendment.
