WHAT: Dinner for 150 friends in Gainesville Area/Alachua, FL

WHEN: Saturday, February 5th from roughly 5-10 pm

WHY: 

For nearly two years, we've been subject to "public health" policies that present social isolation as a moral imperative. Families, friendships, and support systems have been decimated, leaving people disconnected and despondent.

Reconnecting with each other is the most healing - most human - thing we can do.

The main purpose of this meet-up is to get together in-person and make real connections with like-minded individuals. 

Whether you want to meet new friends in your area, talk in real time with people you've only interacted with online, or just enjoy an evening of relative 'normalcy' this is a great opportunity. 

WHERE: A private event space in Alachua, FL. Venue specifics will be sent following registration.

Tentative Evening Schedule 

5:00pm - Venue Opens: Cash bar + non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and mingle

7:00pm - Catered, buffet-style dinner

The venue has a large, climate-controlled indoor space, as well as a fire pit and plenty of room for kids to run around outdoors. 

Additional Information 

* Kids are welcome, of course! Please use discount code "KidsFirst" to reduce the ticket price for kids under 16 to $10.

* If willing, please include your Twitter handle with your ticket purchase. We'd like to have name tags made so we can put faces with handles. 

* The cash bar is for alcohol only. Non-alcoholic drinks and water are included in your ticket.

* Venue information will be sent upon registration for the event, as well as information on convenient accommodations and available activities in the area. 

* We understand that many people are operating under financial constraints. Please e-mail AJ if you'd like to attend but find the cost prohibitive. Additionally, if you'd like to help cover costs or support those who may otherwise not be able to join us, there is a "Donate" option, as well.
