Justin, Many thanks for the transcript. Allowed me to learn in seven minutes what would otherwise have taken an hour. That matters. And cheers for the good things you are doing...they are really important.
Terrific news about SB 920 and AB 1993 getting pulled!! Two down, eight to go.
I am planning to write a letter regarding these bills but need to juggle with other deadlines. You mentioned the bills are listed in order of hearing date, but I haven’t found those specific dates yet. Can you please provide those if it isn’t too much trouble? Mainly, I need to know what the deadline for submitting public comments is.
For the bills in limbo (SB 1390, SB 866, SB 871), should we submit public comments about those now or wait in case it’s moot?
Deadline for opposition letters is 7 days in advance of hearing, but they can add bills to the agenda without 7 days warning, so the time is now. Check the committee pages for updates.
This is super-helpful, Laura, and yikes, those are coming up fast!! If it isn’t too much trouble, can you also let me know the email addresses for the best recipients for these letters? Or a url with contact info? Thank you!
