O Canada!
Who had “Canadian truckers save the world!” on their bingo card? The extraordinary developments in the Great White North came to a head yesterday as police started clearing blocks of protestors and arresting truck drivers in Ottawa.
One horrific scene showed mounted police riding straight through the protestors and seemingly trampling a few in their wake.
This physical escalation follows a week of threats made by Prime Minister Trudeau and his cabinet. One official declared the seizure of bank accounts, trucks and the cancelling of insurance while another declared that if you support Donald Trump we’re coming after you. Dystopian really.
The Real Collusion
Emails obtained by the group I Can Decide were published between the White House from late 2020 and Facebook showing an extraordinary amount of coordination between the two bodies. The CDC and White House authorities sent copy, imagery and recommended targets to Facebook for advertising purposes. Illegal? Probably not. Creepy and collusion-ary? Absolutely.
Confessions
Francis Collins, the former head of the NIH declared this week in a Zoom call that they very well may have been downplaying the significance of myocarditis from the vaccine. It’s a stark admission and one we won’t soon forget. Watch the short clip here:
Super Bowl Hypocrisy
At the Super Bowl some enterprising folks took it upon themselves to hire skywriters to spell out “UNMASK OUR KIDS” above Los Angeles on the day of the Super Bowl. It was impressive:

3 States Now Ban Mask Mandates for Schools
On the positive side the newly elected Governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin signed into law a ban against mask mandates in schools. They are only the third state to do so. After signing the bill Governor Youngkin presented the signing pen to a young girl who had been suspended 9 times for not wearing her mask.
Dumb and DUMBER
Across the country in California Governor Newsom declared a new phase as the virus goes endemic. His SMARTER plan is an acronym which begins with “Shots” and “Masks” and we don’t need to go further to explain how much we hate this plan. Essentially, it allows him to wind down pandemic responses in his official capacity but basically keep all of the measure in place all the time and any time. It’s a disaster.
Trucking in the USA?
Get ready… it looks like truckers in the U.S. are starting their own cross-country road trip:
I was initially skeptical of Youngkin, as I am of all politicians, public officials of any kind and now, sadly, doctors, most especially after the last few years.
Maybe Youngkin is the real deal. Certainly Winsome Sears gives me the impression of being as authentic as they come.
As a resident of VA my hope is that Youngkin enters a friendly rivalry with DeSantis for who can bring the most enduring sanity to his state.
In light of the recent DHS warning, the US convoy looks like a provocation... Specifically alarming March 1st Washington DC arriving date, just in time of the first 2022 State of the Union address. Canadian truckers protesting vaccine mandates, what US trackers are going to protest?
