CDC: Ditch that Cloth Mask! *chuckle*
A Friday dump by the CDC says you should get rid of that cloth mask :)

Of course, the stupid thing is that this has NOTHING to do with omicron and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that masks (cloth and others) do nothing. Pretending that it has something to do with omicron is just more government lying and it is really, really irritating. Abandon your unconscionable hubris and get up and tell the truth...just once. And telling the truth covered by a lie (like this) does not count.
Unfortunately this is exactly the ammunition that schools and employers will use to make everyone wear “better” masks. My now-former employer is making all on-site workers wear KN95s. Don’t even get me started on what our school district is doing, under cover of the latest county “health order”.
UPDATE: as I am writing this, this message appeared in my inbox from our school superintendent (Burbank, CA): “ During this current surge, all students must wear surgical masks (typically blue, black, or white disposable masks). The school will provide a mask to all students who need them. Student KN95 masks have been ordered and will be available upon request.”
I’m beyond ready to pull my kids out but my husband is adamantly against such a move.
